In the Nature

This rural tourism property is surrounded by tranquil countryside and consists of two independent villas - Villa Fauna & Villa Flora - complemented with an agricultural area with several fruit trees. 

Thought has been put into every detail, making this the perfect option for a great family holiday, or for a getaway break for one or more couples, who wish to experience quietness, privacy, and easy access to the Madeiran mountains.

Location & History

Cantinho da Natureza is located in Prazeres, in Calheta region, the sunniest area of Madeira. It’s a very pleasant area with beautiful natural landscapes and abundant fauna and flora.

There are many walks around Calheta and Prazeres, and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many Levada walks, making this property perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday, surrounded by nature and the beautiful island countryside.

Our two independent villas have been recently restored according to traditional Madeiran architecture, keeping its original design, but with all the comfort that a modern home can provide. The project was completed in late 2020 and was developed according to ecological and sustainable standards, with great environmental concern.

Our Villas

With outstanding views of the sea and mountains, offering privacy and seclusion, both Villa Fauna and Villa Flora are fully equipped and enjoy quiet air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet, smart TV, a comfortable fireplace and a porch where you can read or take your meals outdoors. Each villa has its own heated swimming pool and private solarium where you can sunbathe. The property has free private parking for our guests.

In front of the villas, on a lower level, we planted an orchard with several fruit trees (orange, lemon, banana, apple, passion fruit, mango, etc.) and also a small garden of aromatic and seasoning herbs. Our guests will be in permanent contact with nature and can harvest the fruits directly from the trees, an experience that everyone will certainly enjoy.

Each villa can accommodate up to 6 people and benefits from 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the ground floor an open plan sitting room & dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other two are on the top floor.
